Chelsea declared that it has been taken by an asset manager-managed by Todd Boehly with Clearlake Capital.

Following the news, the new owners spoke to fans about their thoughts about owning the club and gave a quick overview of their goals for the team's future.

"We are humbled to be the next caretakers at Stamford," Boehly declared in a speech. Each moment of every contest, we're really in – 100 percent."

"As owners, we have a clear vision: we aim to make the fans delighted. Our initiative is to develop the Team for a lengthy period and improve on Chelsea's extraordinary heritage of achievement, in addition to our devotion to strengthening the young squad and obtaining the top players."

"I want to thank politicians and leaders in the British government, as well as the English League, for all their sacrifices in bringing this to light," he said.

As revealed by The Sun, Boehly and his capital organization have a total wealth of £10.86 billion, whereas Russian Abramovich is estimated to be valued at £6 billion, as quoted by The Times.

Chelsea was not afraid to spend large sums should they needed to during Abramovich's ownership, and the current, wealthier owners are expected to maintain that tradition.

Boehly and his group are the 3rd largest owners in the English Top Division, much behind second-placed Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour, which has an estimated total value of £22.9 billion. Newcastle's owners are by far the wealthiest in the Premier League, with the Saudi National Investment Fund worth a staggering £320 billion.

Andrea Radrizzani (£344 million) is the nineteenth Richest owner on the list for Leeds.
